Ebay Challenge

So, here is my presentation on The Ebay Challenge! In a earlier blog entry, I talked about the walk we made in the freezing cold to the thrift store. NOW, I'll talk more about what I brought.

So I brought this Billy Joel album, An Innocent Man. I stumbled upon it right after i found a skateboard i thought about getting. I went down the isle, on the skateboard, when I saw the rest of the group looking at old vinlys. I thought to myself that I could probably get more off of an good vinly than a old skateboard. So I browsed throught the various selection they had when I came upon the one I needed up buying. One of the people that I walked with said I should get it because of one of the songs. Can't remember which song, but he said it was a good song nonetheless, which is why I needed up picking up the one that I did. So check it out. . . http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=250383436478

Super Bowl Laughs

The Super Bowl commericals this year were not all that. Some of them were better than others. There were a few that I just didn't understand. Nevertheless, some of them stood out from the rest, such as the Doritos' commerical. My favorite of them all was the Career Builders commerical (http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/43/videos/commercials#page:4/video:09000d5d80e7b66d). I think what made the commerical was between the screaming lady and the guy repeatedly hitting the koala in the face. Still, the message and what the man says go so well with what the commerical is really trying to say. That is, if you are so depressed with you job, depressed to the point were point were you sit around daydreaming of punching small animals, then its probably time to get a new job. Anywayz, it's hilarious and thats how they pull you in. YOU MUST WATCH THIS AND LAUGH REPEATEDLY!!!

The Trail of Tears

For class this week we had to go and find a product at this local thrift store. First of all it was freezing cold outside and it feel like the longest walk I have ever walked. It was to the point where I couldn't feel some of my body parts anymore. But I regress from my point. The project is to find something at this thrift store to advertise for on ebay. The objective it to get as many people to come and view the product through, of course, advertisement. I found an old vinyl of Billy Joel An Innocent Man. I picked it because I figured I could make something off of it. There were some other vinlys and some old toys but nothing looked very interesting. On top of that, the ablum has a few decent songs up there, so i decided on the album. Then there was the walk back, and it was JUST AS BAD as it was going up there. It was a little easier because I had a group with me, but it was still freezing cold.
